Our Program is called Sport is Fun and is prepared in accordance with the following steps:
Partnerships with municipalities that provide structure for sports and training practices for citizenship as public places, community associations, social clubs, universities, among others, so that the activities are carried out free of charge. Upon completion of the partnership with the municipality, we identify communities with low HDI in the region.
Training local socioeducadores in sport and educational services to adolescents using sport3 methodology. Each class covers about 30 boys and girls between 10 and 17 years and lasts for eleven months.
At the end of the activities, the nuclei become part of sport3 Network. This action consists of making exchanges, festivals and events in cities where there are classes of Sports Program is Play.
All IFA projects are developed from the Sport is Fun Program. This program uses as a tool the sport3 methodology, which was created from the principles of the Educational Sport. Each project consists of one or more nucleus, depending on the investment made by donors.
We currently have five projects: 1) FAES – Making It Happen Sport in Semiarid, located in the semiarid region of the state of Bahia, 2) Sports is a Human Right, in the metropolitan area of Salvador, 3) FAEL – Making It Happen Sport in the Coast, 4) Beyond the Pitche’s Green, in the region of the Chapada Diamantina, and 5) Sport is Fun that supports the Make it Happen Network. The first four projects presented have two nuclei, one in the urban area and another in the countryside. The Make it Happen Network support activities in each municipality, after the official project is finalized, by supporting NGOs and associations, even individual social educators in order to continue carrying out sport activities based upon the sport3 methodology.
